• When did you develop an interest in your chosen field and in private tutoring?

  I have been giving private lessons since 2008. I started while I was a university student.

• Tell us more about the subject you teach, the topics you like to discuss with students (and possibly those you like a little less).

  I love teaching advanced mathematics to students. I enjoy getting the students' feedback on how they overcome the subjects that they think are scary or challenging after working together. I have no subject that I like less. There's no such thing as a difficult subject; only insufficient effort.

• Did you have any role models; a teacher that inspired you?

  I am always impressed by the people who have achieved something in difficult times. One of them is Charles Bukowski. He wrote his poems while working night shifts in a post office. I was really impressed by that when I learned it.

• What do you think are the qualities required to be a good tutor?

  This is a multivariate question but The thing I care most about is concentration. I believe that if you keep your focus on something, you can master it.

• Provide a valuable anecdote related to your subject or your days at school.

  Once a 6th-grade student asked me a question that even maths experts don't agree on. I felt challenged a lot while trying to explain it. Getting such a question from a student of that age was surprising, and trying to explain it was a challenge. But it made me very happy to see how curious he was.

• What were the difficulties or challenges you faced or still facing in your subject?

  Like everyone, I have faced many difficulties. One was that in university I struggled to organize myself and follow up on lectures. I was able to overcome this afterwards with practice.

• Do you have a particular passion? Is it teaching in general or an element of the subject or something completely different?

  My hobbies include playing the guitar and shooting short movies. I endeavour to improve myself and become professional in these fields.

• What makes you a Superprof (besides answering this interview questions :-P) ?

  It could be the fact I would never define myself as a Superprof. :)
