About Hugo
I am currently on a Gap Year and looking to build my teaching experience. I have never tutored before but I have great interest in becoming a teacher when I’m older, so this seems a great place to start. I achieved an A at A-level, with an A* (48/50) in my coursework. I’m very Keen and passionate about the subject meaning I will always go the extra mile for the student.

I will be happy to teach any ability or level up to A-level. My speciality is English History (17th century) and American History (1776-1975). I also studied 20th century European history and depth studies on Germany (1919-45). My teaching method is based on the individual: we will work around techniques that are best suited to them.
My best work is essay based, holding a great technique for essay structure. I can also help with exam practice and how to break the exam down to help you make the most of an already time-pressured situation.
My tutoring structure is very adaptable as I have a lot of time on my hands, but the basic structure is as follows:
First session will be an hour in order to gage where the student is at and what they want to achieve from tutoring.
The following sessions will then be 45minutes - 1hour long, as there is a high risk the student will lose concentration if they are any longer.
