About Hope
I am an integrative coach, facilitator, and nature-based mental health practitioner who enjoys playing with the question, ‘how to be human?’. Throughout my work, I offer opportunities for people to explore and embrace our authentic human experience - connecting to our existence within the wider world. My background is in Psychology and I hold an MSc in Applied Positive Psychology and Coaching Psychology - which means I have had the privilege of spending a good amount of time studying the science of wellbeing. I am accredited coach with the European Mentoring and Coaching Council (EMCC) at Practitioner Level. Outside of coaching, I have both lived experience of navigating ongoing health challenges and professional experiences of supporting those with a range of other long-term health experiences and mental health. Recently, my focus has been on how our relationship with the natural world can support our health and wellbeing and I can be found in parks on a weekly basis, leading outdoor mental health and wellbeing support groups as part of a green social prescribing programme across Bristol and Bath. Whatever the context, my work centres around holistic approaches to navigating life - specifically the importance of promoting nourishing experiences of connection (to ourselves, others and the world around us) in a variety of forms and flavours.

As a practitioner, I believe in using a person-centred approach, which means you (the client), your needs, experiences and values are at the centre of all the work and progress we make. In our conversations, the overall direction and focus for each session is set by you, and all that you are wanting to create or discover. Together, we will explore out how best you learn, so we can make our approach within each session engaging and tailored to you. My role, as coach, is to provide a warm, encouraging and accepting space for you to explore what changes you want to make. I adopt a gentle questioning and explorative approach to sessions - weaving in opportunity for creativity, curiosity, compassion and play to support you in finding your own answers. And hopefully there'll be plenty opportunity to enjoy the process along the way.
