About Phil
I have 35 years experience as a highly successful Physics teacher in a range of UK schools, in addition to working as an examiner for A Level Physics and L3 Engineering, and as an author of GCSE Physics exams. I am passionate about learning, and I am a highly skilled and very friendly online tutor. I understand the subject areas which cause students problems, and I have a range of resources to help you overcome these difficulties. I will take time to get to know you so that I can use the most effective approaches to make sure you gain as much as possible from the sessions. It is my intention that you learn to master the subject, and enjoy the process along the way.

My sessions last 55 minutes and will be tailored to your particular needs. I will use the most effective approaches for you, which might include different types of questioning for recall of information, and to promote deep thinking. I will use real-time diagrams and models, clear explanations, guided exam practice and live marking of your work. By using a range of activities in every session, you will never be bored! Because I am an examiner for both A Level Physics and L3 Engineering, and an author of GCSE Physics exams, you will gain the insights and skills necessary to achieve the highest grades in these subjects. Most of all I will build your confidence with my friendly and knowledgeable approach. I can help you with GCSE, iGCSE and A Level Physics, and L3 Engineering Principles.
