About Lacie
I use a combination of visual, auditory, and hands-on teaching techniques, adapted for online learning, to help students who struggle or need guidance fully understand and apply subjects. I explain things that may be confusing by showing the steps and solving them along with students. I explain why we do certain things or use certain formulas and how it makes sense. I also try to show different approaches when one seems confusing, so students can understand how to arrive at an answer. As a junior, I can empathize with my fellow students, having faced similar struggles myself. I'm always seeking new ways to learn and discover new things. I possess a great deal of patience, empathy, and understanding, which enables me to recognize that tasks that come easily to me might be challenging for others. With this understanding, I can help explain things to them in a way that makes sense. I offer lessons for elementary, middle school, and 9th-grade students, but I don't work with 10th, 11th, or 12th graders, as I'm an 11th grader myself and don't feel experienced enough to assist them.
