About Danae
Hi there! I am an RN and certified Nurse Coach! I was an LPN for 3 years and have been an RN for 7 years. I have experience in peri-operative nursing, neuro-rehab home care, sub-acute rehab, long-term care, pediatric/school nursing, education, and a short stent in L&D.
Personally, I have completed studies in-person and online so I understand the unique advantages and challenges of each format. I have experience tutoring one-on-one and am currently working at Boise State University as a clinical adjunct faculty member in their School of Nursing. I have a passion for helping students learn and succeed, and becoming the best nurses around! I look forward to working with you!

I want to spend time getting to know YOU and making an individualized plan together to help you succeed. I like to have fun, helping make creative ways to remember medication names. Beyond that, we'll diligently work together to understand necessary details related to pharmacology in nursing (what the medication does, side effects, nursing considerations, etc). I'm also a geek who loves the math side of things so if you want to spend some time on dosage calculations, I like to use dimensional analysis and we'll break it down simply so that you can answer those dosage calc questions confidently without feeling like your answer is just a guess in the dark! We’ll not only work to use our in-session time effectively, but we’ll make a plan for success outside of our sessions too!
Topics we can cover:
- Test-taking strategies for pharmacology questions (specific to NGN style questions).
- Test anxiety management/support.
- Content review specific to your needs/challenges (pertinent information review for specific medications/medication classes and/or dosage calculations review and practice).
- If desired, a study schedule to refer to outside of our sessions together (tailored to your availability and scheduled test date).
I want to support you in the most effective way possible, so I am also available via messaging or text between sessions to my students.
