I am Jayne Manley, Mekenzey’s mother. I know you must be thinking to yourself, she’s going to be biased and totally support her daughter, which I am, but I’m being wholeheartedly honest with you. I remember her growing up. We had a huge older home. She had the whole upstairs sunroom decked out in a classroom theme. She had attained all these things from previous teachers that she had and made up an entire classroom in order to teach her teddy bears and dolls. She would spend the whole day up there teaching. I knew right then and there that she was going to be a teacher when she grew up.

In the 10 years that she has taught, she has had some really tough kids and has turned them around by the end of the year into sweet, kind kids that are ready to learn. In her classroom, she not only teaches Math, Science, and English, but also kindness and respect.
