When I teach drawing, I like to keep things practical and relaxed. I usually start with the basics — things like proportions, shading, perspective, and line work — and then build up from there. I always adjust the pace depending on the student, so whether you’re just starting out or you’ve been sketching for a while, the lessons fit your level.
Most of my sessions run for about an hour. In that time, I combine step-by-step exercises with some space for creative exploration, so students don’t just learn techniques, but also enjoy the process. We use different materials — pencils, charcoal, pens, and pastels — so you get comfortable working in more than one medium.
I’ve been drawing for years, mainly as a self-taught figurative artist, and I’ve also tutored students who want to sharpen their skills or simply enjoy drawing as a hobby. My lessons are great for teens and adults who want to build confidence in their art and develop a strong foundation.
