I am an Education Literature and the Arts graduate from the University of Cambridge. My degree allowed for an opportunity to touch on a number of different areas such as literature, linguistics, drama, sociology, history, and philosophy, making me eager and flexible to learn new things! Having studied English Language, English Literature, History, and Theatre Studies at A level, I know how overwhelming essay subjects can be. Therefore, my primary aim as a tutor is to make students feel as confident as possible going into their exams. Generally, I tend to cater to the individual needs of each student, finding out what areas they need extra support in. This allows me to create individual-oriented lessons which are not possible for large classes in schools. My approach is largely through discussion and collaborative writing, creating a safe space for students to explore their ideas. I am also more than happy to review students' written work whatever the level, providing suggestions to elevate their writing skills.
