My name is Nathan and I’m a 23-year-old mechanical engineering postgraduate student, with a passion for helping young people succeed in their studies.
As someone in your position not too long ago, I understand the hardships that may come with your studies, but I hope to prove to you through our lessons that there are many different ways to approach a problem, and we can work together to find out what works best for you!
My goal is to provide a relaxed, friendly, and supportive learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and truly understand the material. I know sometimes as a student you can feel a little unheard, so I really want to emphasise creating a personalised lesson space tailored to how you can best learn and develop. Together we’ll build confidence and unlock your potential!

I offer both 1-hour and 2-hour sessions, depending on each student's needs and goals.
My teaching approach is centred around creating an environment that is as engaging as possible, and students feel comfortable asking questions and actively participating.
Lessons are delivered using an interactive online whiteboard, allowing us to work through problems together in real time, and I encourage students to explain their thought processes and reasoning throughout the session, helping to build confidence, and develop independent problem-solving skills.
Once a student has gained confidence with a topic, we move on to exam-style questions and past papers to reinforce understanding and develop effective exam technique. My aim is to ensure students can apply their knowledge independently and feel fully prepared for assessments.
I have been tutoring for over two years and have delivered more than 300 hours of lessons across KS3, GCSE, and A-level Maths and Science. I have a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering and am currently studying for a Master's degree specialising in Biomechanics.
I welcome students of all abilities and learning styles, including those with Special Educational Needs (SEN).
