About Tamas
I'm the Head of Computer Science at Newcastle-under-Lyme School — rated Outstanding — where I teach both GCSE and A Level Computer Science every day. Before that, I taught at Manchester Grammar School, one of the country's most academically respected independents. Computer Science isn't just my job; it's genuinely what I love.
Above all, I believe that Computer Science should be fun! I'm known for being energetic and direct — lessons are fast-paced, engaging, and never dull. I don't believe students struggle with Computer Science because it's too hard. In my experience, they struggle because it hasn't been taught in the right way. That's what I fix.
My track record speaks for itself: year after year, my students achieve outstanding GCSE results — both in school and through private tuition. I've taught enough students to know exactly where the confusion creeps in, which exam questions trip people up, and what separates a Grade 5 from a Grade 8.
I wrote my own GCSE Computer Science textbook and built the Bit-Byte-Bit learning platform because I wasn't satisfied with what was already out there. I want my students to have a genuinely great experience learning, maximising fun while eliminating confusion, which is why I always strive to do better today than I did yesterday.

Inside, you'll find everything in one place: PowerPoint lessons, task sheets, flashcards, videos, AI-powered support, hundreds of revision questions, and dozens of interactive games and simulators. Students don't need to search the internet for resources — it's all there, ready to go.
Sessions are led directly from my PowerPoints, with tasks completed live on Bit-Byte-Bit, so every lesson is hands-on from start to finish. I teach both GCSE and A Level Computer Science, drawing on years of classroom experience and resources I've spent countless hours refining — because I know exactly what works.
