I have a MSc in marine science and have been teaching science in both mainstream, SEN and outdoor settings. I have gained knowledge and experience planning and delivering lessons to students with a wide variety of abilities and needs. My teaching technique is often student led, this ensure that the student is getting what they need from the lesson. I will always allow questions to encourage curiosity and confirm understanding.
I have worked in school with lessons of twenty minutes so I am able to prepare shorter lessons, as well as lessons of up to an hour.
I have worked in both mainstream and SEN setting as an unqualified science teacher up to GCSE level using both the AQA and edexcel curriculums. I also have experience working as an outdoor tutor for the Field Studies Council teaching both Biology and Geography field trips in London and Epping Forest so I would be able to support students writing up their fieldwork or revising from it. This included A-level Biology and Geography.
