About Nick
I first picked up a guitar at eleven and vividly remember the mix of excitement and challenge that came with it. I would lug my guitar (twice my size) to lessons during or after school, eager to show my teacher what I had learned.
Over time, those lessons led to my first bands and some of my longest friendships, all centred around the joy of making music together.
Because I have been in that exact place as a learner, I understand how hard those early steps can feel. That experience taught me to be patient, calm, and encouraging, even when progress seems slow.
I know the reward that comes from pushing through those moments, and I want every student to experience that same feeling of pride and joy.
My goal as a tutor is simple - to share the excitement that music gave me, and to help you find confidence and happiness through playing guitar.

My tutoring focuses on learning through enjoyment, using familiar and well‑liked songs, chosen by students, to build confidence and skill at the same time.
I teach technique, rhythm, and theory in a way that feels relevant and motivating.
Each lesson is tailored to the student’s age, goals, and experience, blending practice with creativity and performance. I emphasise playing first, then gradually introduce musical understanding through the pieces being learned.
Lessons run for 45 minutes to one hour, including warm‑ups, focused skill work, and performance practice.
