About Andrew
I've been playing guitar for over 20 years and have a tertiary qualification in music performance.
I am a friendly and patient teacher with loads of experience, both in teaching and performing.
I've taught hundreds of students from kids to adults in my private teaching and in primary and secondary schools and have plenty of great references.
As a performer I've played with many different acts, including Aria winners and Australian Idol finalists both in Australia and internationally.

I welcome players of all ages and abilities, on acoustic or electric guitar.
Depending on your experience and interests, lessons can cover a range of topics including; Reading Music and Tabs, Improvisation, Music Theory, Technique, Learning Songs, Ear training, Composition.
I specialise in contemporary styles: Folk, Rock, Blues, Jazz, Soul, Funk.
My goal for my students is to inspire in them a love of music and playing, to develop good habits and a strong foundation on their instrument so that they may enjoy their playing for many years to come.
Every student has a different reason for learning, and I will work with you to help you achieve your own goals, whether they are playing for personal enjoyment, learning a certain style, or getting good marks in AMEB or tertiary exams.
At the end of each lesson you will receive a pdf with everything we worked on, presented clearly with personalized feedback attached.
*Please note that I am currently only accepting online lessons, taught via Zoom. I've got a well-lit setup with clear sound and a couple of cameras for easy viewing. If you want to book in a lesson or have any questions, I look forward to hearing from you. Thanks, Andrew
