About José Carlos
I started playing guitar in church when I was 11 years old (I'm 28 today). Since then, I have always tried to improve myself as a musician, both from a practical point of view, playing from forró and sertanejo to heavier rock/metal, and from a theoretical point of view, studying what is essential for the understanding and execution of the songs to be played.
I am a physicist and mathematics teacher by training, specializing in teaching. I believe that all the knowledge and teaching experience that I have developed throughout my training can somehow be applied to guitar teaching.

During our classes, the focus is on developing technical skills and musical sensitivity, in a pleasant way and based on the taste and particularities of each student, always seeking their independence.
Although my degree is in physics and math (bachelor and teaching), I am basically self-taught with regard to music, with practical experience playing in churches, accompanying sertanejo singers, party groups, and playing with heavy metal bands. I also dedicated myself and am dedicated to the study of music theory.
Currently, my classes are oriented to beginners or people who already have some experience with the instrument but want to improve their technique or theoretical knowledge.
