About Mike
I have been teaching young people in the further Education sector now for over seven years now while also continuing to work in industry. I have a strong desire to use my Design and Digital Graphics knowledge of nearly 20 years to inspire & mentor the next set of rising successful creatives. My ideal desired role is that of a Graphic Design Lecturer also teach Art & Design & MEDIA and other related subjects and have taught mainly at Level 3 level 2 Btec and UAL as well as A' Level also OCR and NCFE I can also act as effective cover to subjects such as Gaming, Web, ICT, Animation. Business, DT and other creative areas of learning. I have a wealth of experience across most design sectors having worked within agencies and in-house creative teams and extensively on household and international name brands I am expert in industry standard software such as InDesign, Illustrator & Photoshop skills and I have excellent print, branding as well as UX & UI design knowledge. I also have a strong creative portfolio and evidence to back up my industry experience. My teaching qualifications complete having completed in 2011 and with subsequent CPD certificates. I pride myself on my excellent communication skills, as well as strong presentation skills. I also have pitching experience and can work alone but prefer to work in a team environment. I also have excellent organisation skills and time management skills. I have a keen eye for detail, strong understanding and ability to Art Direct and the ability to develop & nurture studio juniors.
