About John
I finished my Undergraduate degree in Trumpet Performance at the Eastman School of Music in the spring of 2021. In 2026, I received a Masters Degree in Trumpet Performance from CU Boulder. I have played trumpet for over 17 years now and have studied under several different teachers, including college professors and military band trumpet players. I have experience teaching elementary school through high school-aged students as well as adults.

My teaching approach differs from student to student. I help students achieve what they would like to achieve whether that would be learning jazz improvisation, preparing for an audition or placement test, or just learning how to play the trumpet better. However, for every student, I teach fundamentals such as lip slurs and scales.
