I’ve had the pleasure of knowing Avassa professionally and personally for the last 15 years. When my sister started middle school, she started struggling with her English class. Avassa was the only reason I passed my English course in Baruch. I registered late for classes and ended up with Prof. Walker. Unfortunately he was very tough on grading, and also particular on certain things he was looking for. Avassa was able to look at my past graded work and figure out what he was looking for. She always took her time to help me get it right. Even when I wasn't following and said I was, she knew I wasn't and told me it was okay to be confused. Always tried another way explaining things.
