About Matilda
I am a University of Leeds graduate with an LLB Honours Degree in Law. From playing netball to being involved in drama productions, I have always prided myself in being warm, sociable and friendly to everyone. I will always be understanding and empathetic; my teaching methods will never involve criticism, only advice. English Literature A Level was my favourite subject and I thrived in getting to annotate poems, write critically and study novels. Furthermore, I achieved two 9's at GCSE Level. Books such as Handmaid's Tale and Wuthering Heights inspired my writing skills and advanced my studies at A Level. Specifically, I adore poems/unseen poems and creative writing. Genres such as psychological thrillers and horrors have always inspired my writing in particular.

Lessons are typically a duration of one hour, but I am always open to less or more! For each individual lesson, I prepare with activities and joint tasks to go through together, and then to complete on your own. We will always reflect at the end of the session on what you learnt and what you need more help with next time. I am available by email and phone for any questions about the session or anything specific you want to work on.

Matilda is a phenomenal academic, she’s broken down complex technical concepts within Law to really straightforward and engaging conversation. She has great taste in literature and can analyse texts big and small in a clean and straightforward way. She’s very kind and smiley, with great patience and I know she’ll be an amazing tutor for your student. She’s taught sport to KS3 students across her time in school where she was very successful.
