About Sarah
Hello! I recently graduated with a double-major in biology and humanities at MIT, and am preparing to start an MD-PhD program next year. My teaching experience started in high school, when I designed and led 3D printing workshops for local elementary schoolers. I loved sharing my passion for technology with them, and seeing how each student's creativity shone through in their final projects. I continued teaching throughout my time at MIT by holding office hours for introductory biology and chemistry, teaching small group sessions for organic chemistry, and even traveling to Italy to teach biochemistry to high school students. I am looking forward to working with you to reach your learning goals!

From my 3+ years of teaching experience during undergrad, I have learned how to individually tailor lessons to match students' needs. Depending on your learning style, I am happy to adjust the format and content of tutoring sessions.
For problem-based learners, I like to prepare several questions beforehand so that we can practice tackling them together before you attempt them on your own. I find that this helps build students' confidence, problem-solving skills, and conceptual understanding.
For learners who are motivated by the real-life applications of ostensibly abstract concepts, I love to develop questions that incorporate these applications (this was my favorite thing to do as a teaching assistant for organic chemistry at MIT!).
