About Kate
My name is Kate, and I have recently graduated with a Master’s in Mathematics. I can work with you to figure out what you need, whether that’s going through past papers, tackling tricky concepts, or just building up general confidence. I really enjoy helping students not only improve their grades but also start to feel more comfortable (and even enjoy!) the subject. Lessons are usually an hour, but I’m flexible depending on what works best. My main aim is to make sure you feel supported, more confident, and ready to do your best at school and in exams.

I offer tutoring in GCSE and A-Level Maths, Further Maths, and Physics, as well as preparation for university admissions tests such as the TMUA and MAT. I have a Master’s degree in Mathematics and achieved A* grades in Maths, Further Maths, Physics, and Chemistry at A-Level. My lessons are tailored to each student, with some preferring to focus on specific topics, while others want a broader review of the syllabus, but this can be discussed beforehand depending on preference. I look at past papers and practice questions with students, and help explain concepts students may be struggling with. For admissions test preparation, I work through practice problems with students, helping them develop problem-solving strategies and the ability to approach unfamiliar questions, as well as consolidating the basics. Lesson length can vary depending on what works best for the student. I can tutor GCSE and A-Level students of all abilities and adapt to suit individual needs, whether it’s exam preparation, catching up on tricky topics, or stretching beyond the syllabus.
