About Vivien
I have had many years' experience as a teacher including being on the senior management team of a primary school in Oxfordshire. I am passionate about English and I have a deep love of the language and literature. I love classic and modern literature. I read and write my own poetry. I am very interested in creative writing.
I have always enjoyed working with and supporting students in their learning. My students have had good outcomes in primary and secondary. This includes achieving good reading and writing levels. I have prepared students for exams in the 11+, common entrance, and GCSEs, where they achieved well.
I can support children in Special Educational Needs, and I have had training and experience in teaching students to read.

I carefully plan the lessons to meet the needs of the student. I draw on their strengths and then work on areas that need support. I make the lessons exciting and interesting, by providing a rich and interesting curriculum. I have training in personal, emotional and social education.
I have had experience in preparing students for exams such as 11+ and entrance/scholarships at 14. I also teach the curriculum for GCSE English language and literature. I teach A level English literature.
