About Elsy
With a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering and a Master’s degree in Structural Engineering, I bring over 5 years of teaching experience to the table. My roles have included College Teacher’s Assistant, Teacher, and Tutor, where I've honed my skills in classroom management, lesson planning, and instructional delivery. As a College Teacher’s Assistant, I adeptly managed classrooms with 20-25 students per semester, delivering lectures on civil engineering materials such as concrete, steel, and wood. I leveraged computer programs, applications, and audio-visual aids to enhance teaching effectiveness. My teaching style fosters active learning through hands-on activities, technology integration, and interactive discussions. I believe in encouraging curiosity and critical thinking by incorporating open-ended questions and cooperative learning methods. I employ weekly quizzes and monthly tests to gauge student progress, identify areas for improvement, and prepare them for final exams. My ultimate aim is to leverage my diverse experience and teaching prowess to positively impact your institution and the wider community.

2 weeks with Elsy has done more for me than a whole semester at university. I was referred to her by a good friend when i needed last minutr help for my Differential Equations exam. Elsy was able to break down complex topics in differential equations in a way I was able to easily understand and apply to ace my class! She has a gift for understanding exactly what her students need to hear for things to click. I would 100% recommend Elsy's services if you think your subject is out of your reach.
