About ROBERT
Robert Murray Jamieson is a musician, composer, production manager, sound designer, and educator known for his versatility across various musical genres, including organ, psych-rock, and electronic music. His organ composition, “Ibanathon,” was premiered at London’s Union Chapel, highlighting his innovative approach to the instrument. Jamieson composed the score for the acclaimed documentary “BLUE ID,” which is currently touring the international film circuit.
Jamieson has demonstrated strong project management skills, successfully overseeing ventures from studio recordings to large-scale performances. In 2023, he served as production manager and musical director for the Mastercard/UEFA cup concerts, collaborating with Christof Schlaeger to create a memorable experience aboard a ferry navigating the Bosphorus strait. Schlaeger’s innovative 53-ship horn instrument, combined with Jamieson’s expertise, showcased a fusion of technology and artistry, highlighting his ability to bring visionary concepts to life on a global stage.
With seven years of service in the Royal Australian Navy and eight years as the in-house composer/music editor at Fremantle Media Australia, Jamieson has extensive industry experience. He has designed sound libraries for various companies, including Fairlight and Mode Audio, since the 1980s and recently beta-tested a number of synthesizers for GForce Software. He holds a Bachelor of Music (BMUS) from The University of Melbourne and a Master of Music (MMUS) from Goldsmiths University of London. In addition to his music career, he has been teaching English as a second language since 2006 in Turkey and London, working at the Regent School of English, the London School of English, and King’s College.
