About Elena
I’m a university student with a strong interest in humanities and science subjects. I specialise mainly in Religious Studies and Philosophy & Ethics, but I also tutor GCSE Biology and Sociology. During my own time at school I developed a strong understanding of how to approach essay-based subjects and revision strategies that actually work. I know that many students struggle with confidence, understanding exam questions, or remembering large amounts of content, and my aim is to make these subjects feel much clearer and more manageable. I create a supportive and relaxed environment where students can ask questions freely and build their understanding step by step. My goal is not just to help students pass exams, but to help them feel more confident in their abilities.

I can help students with: • Understanding difficult topics clearly • Essay structure and exam technique • Revision strategies and memory techniques • Breaking down complex concepts into simple explanations • Preparing for GCSE exams and assessments Lessons are typically 1 hour long, but this can be adjusted depending on the student’s needs. I offer online lessons and can also discuss in-person lessons depending on location. My approach is patient, structured and supportive, with a focus on helping students gain confidence and improve their results over time. Students are welcome to bring: • homework questions • past papers • specific topics they are struggling with I’m happy to adapt lessons to focus on whatever will help them most.
