About Oscar
I’m an A-level student with a strong interest in computing and how technology works behind the scenes. Alongside Computer Science, I study Maths and Physics, which has helped me develop a logical, problem-solving approach that I bring into my tutoring.
I decided to tutor because I know how frustrating Computer Science can feel when explanations move too fast or assume prior knowledge. I prefer breaking topics down carefully and explaining the “why” behind concepts, so students feel more confident and less overwhelmed. I aim to be approachable, patient, and reliable, and to create a calm learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions.

My GCSE Computer Science lessons are structured, calm, and focused on understanding how concepts work and how they appear in exams.
I start by identifying which topics the student finds most difficult, then break these down step by step using clear explanations and worked examples. Lessons often involve walking through exam-style questions together, with an emphasis on problem-solving, algorithms, and exam technique rather than memorisation.
Lessons are typically 60 minutes long and are delivered online. Sessions are paced to suit the student, with time for questions and clarification throughout.
I am currently studying A-level Computer Science, Maths, Physics and AS Further Maths. This means I’m familiar with the GCSE specification, common exam pitfalls, and effective revision strategies.
My lessons are aimed at GCSE Computer Science students, particularly those who want clearer explanations, more confidence with exam questions, or structured support with core topics such as algorithms, programming fundamentals, and theory.
