About Elena
I’m passionate about helping students build confidence in their learning and reach their full potential. I particularly enjoy tutoring Business because it’s a subject that connects directly to the real world, from understanding how businesses make decisions and manage money to exploring marketing, finance, entrepreneurship and the factors that influence success. I enjoy breaking down complex topics into simple, understandable ideas and helping students develop the confidence to apply what they know to different business situations and exam questions. For me, tutoring is about more than just teaching the content, it’s about creating a supportive environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes and improving. I want to share my enthusiasm for Business with my students while helping them develop the knowledge, skills and confidence they need to succeed.

My lessons are tailored towards every student’s specific needs, making sure each student gets the grade they desire. I provide each of my students with revision resources and make sure my lessons are fun and interactive - as a student myself I know how to understand your problems on a deeper level as I experienced them first hand.
I go through everything in thorough detail, from how to put context into your questions, how to write 6,9,12 markers, how to answer in the way the exam board wants, etc. With my students, we’d go through everything you’ve learnt in terms of content and more (so for example I might be giving you better examples you could use in your exam which your teacher might not have taught you) and what I’ve done with past students also is I’ve provided them with flashcards for every single topic which I give to them to learn in sections. Closer to the exams, we’d go through past papers together, and I’d give you past papers to do for homework which I’ll sit and mark in detail (not like the teachers at school, I’ll tell you specifically why you’ve lost the marks, why I’ve marked you a certain way, and how you can get that mark up) and for extra reassurance I’ll sometimes ask you to ask your teacher to mark it too.

I can’t recommend Elena enough, she got me from getting grade 6s in business to getting a 9 in my actual GCSE!
