About Haseeb
Hi, I’m Haseeb, a Bachelor of Science (Pathology) graduate from the University of Melbourne. In March 2024, I sat the GAMSAT and achieved a score of 82 in Section 2, with an overall score of 73. This experience has given me an understanding of what ACER is looking for in their assessment and the strategies that work. Before diving into GAMSAT preparation, I was a math tutor for students from grade 7 to VCE specialist math, so I bring tutoring experience to the table.
I firmly believe that GAMSAT is a continuous journey of learning and self-discovery. Coming from a science background, I know how daunting Section 2 can seem, especially with the perception that those without an arts background cannot score highly. But my own journey from a score of 65 to 82 proves that nothing is impossible with the right approach. I want to give back to the community and support others going through this challenging process. From my own GAMSAT journey, I've learned that there's no one-size-fits-all approach to mastering Section 2. Here's what I think works:
Free First Lesson
In our first lesson, I'll share what I've learned from my own GAMSAT experiences, including common misconceptions and personal insights. We'll discuss your own GAMSAT history (if this is your first time sitting, that's totally okay!) and identify your strengths and weaknesses. We’ll also talk about your expectations and what you hope to achieve from our sessions.
Lesson Plans
Moving forward, our lessons will be tailored to build a solid foundation based on a structure that has worked well for me. We’ll focus on:
- Interpreting themes
- Developing meaningful plans
- Enhancing idea development
- Controlling your writing
If you’re experienced or have a specific writing style, I’ll tailor the lessons to suit your needs.
Practical Assignments and Resources
Between lessons, you’ll have assignments like writing essays based on provided prompts and engaging with assigned reading/listening materials. I know how time-consuming it can be to find the right resources, so I’ll provide everything you need to stay focused and maximize your study time. Each lesson also includes time for personalized, constructive feedback on your essays. My feedback will be detailed and aimed at helping you improve steadily and confidently.
Essay Marking Services
I also offer separate essay marking services for $20 per essay (if lessons are not what you are in store for) I provide a thorough breakdown of each paragraph, assessing its structure, the coherency of the argument, idea expression, and language use. My feedback will also point you to relevant resources to help you improve your written responses (Note: For the lessons, essay marking will be provided inclusively)

Perfect! Haseeb uses a variety of methods to teach a subject matter to allow for a complete understanding. He also gives a lot of resources and homework (as much as we want to) for us to further polish our skills. He's a fantastic tutor!
Perfect! Haseeb responded very quickly to my tutoring request and went above and beyond. I only expected him to point out things I could do better for my S2 essay but he went further and provided me extra resources and examples for me to peruse.
