About Bethany
I am a qualified teacher, trained in teaching all foundation subjects at primary level, including maths. I have taught a range of age groups from pre-school up to KS2, both in school settings and in tutoring sessions. I trained for 3 years at the University of Reading, during which time I gained experience in a variety of schools and taught children of varying learning needs. I graduated with a 1st Class Hons degree. Following my training, I taught a KS2 class at a school near Reading for 1 year. I then went on to study for a masters degree in psychology and education at the University of Sheffield, which I have recently completed with Distinction.

I offer online tutoring sessions for pupils from EYFS-KS2 in all foundation subjects (including maths). I believe teaching style should adapt to the needs and learning style of each individual pupil. An approach that works well for one pupil will not necessarily work well for another, so I find it important to make adjustments for every individual, rather than sticking rigidly to one type of lesson layout or style of teaching. I find that playing games and other similar methods of teaching (where possible) can be very effective in helping children to grasp a new concept, without them recognising it as a traditional 'learning' activity.
