About the class

I am a fully qualified, 'Outstanding' teacher of English. Having worked as a classroom teacher for four years, I have chosen to take a new step in my career, and I now work as a full time private tutor. I am enthusiastic, passionate about my subject, and committed to helping my students to achieve the best they possibly can. I have extensive training and experience in teaching English at Key Stage 3, GCSE and A-Level, and I have a thorough knowledge of all major exam boards and specifications. 

I have a broad range of experience working with students with a range of needs and abilities, including students with English as an additional language, students with special educational needs, and gifted and talented students.

My experience as a classroom teacher has provided me with invaluable skills for unlocking students' potential and helping them to achieve their goals, whether this be improving their confidence, their grades, or their enjoyment of the subject. I am kind, patient and motivational, and above all, I absolutely love teaching my subject.

I have worked in a girls' grammar school as well as a mixed comprehensive, teaching students of all abilities in all key stages.
