About Jim
I originally graduated with a BA in acting at RADA (accredited by King’s College). I tutored for five years with Tutorfair (if you Google ‘Jim R Tutorfair’ you will find forty five-star reviews on my profile).
I completed my Schools Direct PGCE at Goldsmiths, University of London and my NQT year through the Independent Schools Induction Panel at Wellington College. I am currently studying for an MA in Education and Creative Writing at Goldsmiths.

Hello there! I am a warm, committed and approachable tutor - good at puns. In spite of this I've been reassured my sense of humour isn't a cause for concern. I am a fully qualified teacher at Wellington College, one of the UK's leading public schools. I am able to offer a limited schedule of online lessons and I also offer a marking and feedback service.
I am insatiably curious and think fostering genuine enquiry is inseparable from the learning process, consequently I educate by instilling deep interest and unfettered enthusiasm for all my subjects. I have a wide-ranging knowledge of all major syllabi including common entrance (11+) preparation for English (this year I helped a student achieve three offers, one an academic scholarship); I've experience and success prepping for SPGS, MCS, Thomas's, Hab's boys', Westminster, Wellington, Harrow, St Paul's, Dulwich, Latymer, CLSG, Godolphin, Francis Holland and Wimbledon. I'm available for SATS support for KS2 & 3; GCSE/iGCSE and AS/A2 Level English Literature & Drama (Cambridge, AQA, Edexcel and OCR). In addition I have successfully tutored the international baccalaureate in both English and Theatre.
I coach acting, audition technique, diction, voice, elocution, public speaking, interview technique and presentation skills from a novice to advanced level. (Inclusive of LAMDA, Trinity Guildhall and the RADA Shakespeare Certificates.
