About Kimberley
Hi, I’m a software engineer and coding tutor. I know from experience that the same methods don’t work for everyone, so I tailor my lessons to meet each learner where they are. I’ve taught web development and programming with Code First Girls and have supported learners at all stages—from absolute beginners to career changers. I find teaching incredibly rewarding and get deeply invested in my students' progress. I like to keep lessons structured, with clear goals, but always delivered with patience and flexibility. I’m friendly, chatty, and especially passionate about encouraging more girls, women, and non-binary people into tech. I’m also a bit of a nerd—I get genuinely excited about code! When things started to click for me, it opened so many doors. Coding built my confidence, transformed my career, and I love helping others experience that same transformation.

In our lessons, we’ll start by identifying your goals—whether that’s understanding a tricky module, fixing a bug, building a project, or preparing for your first job in tech. I’ll prepare tailored materials in advance, and depending on the topic, I may provide notes, links, or resources to deepen your understanding. I prefer to create a clear plan so our sessions have structure and purpose, whether short-term or long-term. We can work on real projects to build your portfolio, focus on technical problem areas, or build your confidence in coding. My aim is to support you in a way that fits your learning style and helps you reach your next step—whether that’s acing a BootCamp, landing your first tech role, or finally launching that passion project.
