My Teaching Approach:
Having come from ICSE myself, I know how overwhelming Commerce can feel, especially Accounts, where one wrong concept early on makes everything else harder to follow. My goal is to make sure that doesn't happen to my students.
Teaching Techniques:
I focus on building concepts from scratch before jumping into problems. I use real-life examples to explain abstract topics because once something makes intuitive sense, the formulas and formats become much easier to remember. I also spend time on common mistakes so students know what to avoid in exams.
Usual Class Structure:
A typical class starts with a quick recap of the last session, then we work through new concepts together, followed by practice problems. I always keep time at the end for doubts.
What Makes Me Different:
I went through the ICSE syllabus recently enough to remember which topics trip people up the most and where examiners tend to focus. I don't just teach to pass, I teach to actually understand, and that shows in how students perform.
Who Are My Classes For:
Mainly ICSE students in Class 9 and 10 for Accounts and Economics, and Class 11 and 12 Commerce students. I also help first-year BCom students who are finding the jump from school a bit tough.
