To whom it may concern,

I am writing to confirm that Tilly Gerrard has been volunteering with Action Tutoring from 5th November 2020 - present. Action Tutoring provides volunteer tutors to work with pupils preparing for GCSE exams or Key Stage 2 SATs in schools across the country.

I have been managing and working with Tilly since Nov ’20 and in that time, Tilly has volunteered as English tutor for year 6 students, for an hour and a half a week at Thornhill Primary School.

Tilly has supported 3 pupils on the current programme and worked closely with them, devising online lesson plans and activities, working to build both their subject knowledge as well as their confidence and study skills.

Tilly’s help has been very much appreciated by the school and has provided a wonderful opportunity for pupils to benefit from some intensive one to one support in preparation for their exams.

Tilly is a committed, reliable and enthusiastic volunteer, relating very well to those he came into contact with through the programme, including pupils and fellow tutors, and is a valuable volunteer both for the school and for our organisation.
