About Abdelghafor
Hi!
My name is Abdel and I am a Senior IT Technical Consultant. I completed my undergraduate degree in Mathematics and went on to complete a Masters degree in Operations Research (Applied Maths and Computer Science) at Stanford University (USA). Following from this I moved to the UK and graduated from Imperial College London with a PhD in Combinatorial Optimisation (Applied Maths and Computer Science).
I spent many years as a teacher in universities and colleges teaching Mathematics and Computer Science/IT and then went on to provide private tuition which I have done for the last 20 years mainly in Mathematics/IT at all levels as well as the 11+ and 13+ entrance exams.
My passion for tutoring stems from the fact that I love passing my knowledge to others and helping them to achieve their full potential. I have three children of mine who I have tutored through primary school, 11+ entrance exam for grammar schools, GCSEs and A Levels which resulted in all three being accepted to Medical School at Imperial College London. Seeing the direct impact that my tutoring skills have had is what fuels my desire to continue to help others.
My approach as a tutor is to make the sessions as enjoyable as they are informative. I make sure that I adapt to the needs of each individual in order to provide a tailored learning experience that works for them. I am very organised and flexible and I understand the commitment and hard work needed for success. I will endeavour to do all it takes to make my students achieve the results they are seeking.
