I am a friendly, engaging and motivating tutor based in south London, offering Physics and Maths tuition from Key Stage 2 to A-Level across all exam boards.
After achieving an A grade in both Maths and Further Maths at A-Level and completing a BSc in Physics from Imperial College (high 2:1), I became an award winning project manager for one of the world's largest IT corporations. I am now a full time tutor, able to use the soft skills from my business background as well as my academic knowledge.
I encourage students to express themselves and enjoy their subject, allowing them to grow in confidence and shine. I have the ability to explain difficult concepts in an easy to understand way, and produce my own materials to support learning.
My current schedule consists of work at an Academy in south London, private lessons in the evenings, and voluntary work at Southside Young Leaders' Academy. My students are from the full spectrum of age, ability, socioeconomic background, and personality, and have very different objectives for what they want to get out of the tutoring experience.
Away from the classroom I sing in Camberwell Community Choir, play the piano, regularly practice yoga, am training for a half marathon, am a PADI certified scuba diver, and have travelled extensively (I’ll happily bore you with my stories!).

Jonny started tutoring my daughter since November 2015 when she was struggling with her A Level A2 Maths. Jonny has been a reliable, committed and flexible tutor. My daughter is very pleased with his teaching because he will go over things she struggles to understand until it is clear to her. Jonny is very professional in manner and approach. I would highly recommend him to any parent or student who is looking for a Maths tutor.

He is creative and imaginative and therefore able to bring things to life when he sees people are struggling to understand.
