About Kat
After completing my degree at the University of Edinburgh, I went on to work as an ESL teacher in East Asia for around five years. During that time I worked with all age groups, including children. After I returned to the UK I worked in a primary school for two years where I helped native speaking children with their literacy. I have worked with children with dyslexia and reluctant readers in 1-1 sessions and in small groups. I have been trained in strategies to support children with their literacy.

I can tutor children under the age of 11 in a specific area of English, such as reading, or offer a more general class covering handwriting, spelling, a short dictation activity, reading and reading comprehension.
I think it is very important to build confidence in my students and aim to inspire positivity and self-belief in the children that I work with.
