About Ben
I am a senior sports physiotherapist, graduating from the University of Nottingham with a first class Physiotherapy degree, subsequently earning my master's degree in Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy from Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam.
I currently work as women's academy physiotherapy lead for a leading premier league football team. Previously working in both professional and international Rugby League and Rugby Union.
I have a passion for teaching and regularly teach and guest lecture both in the UK and in the Netherlands. I am also very privileged to have had the opportunity to play a small role in the education and supervision of students and junior therapists, both in the UK and abroad, who have successfully gone on to pursue their dream careers in sports and academia.
I'm incredibly excited to take this experience further to help as many students and clinicians as possible to achieve their goals.
We all start somewhere, and it is my pleasure to help others in the same way others helped me throughout my early career!

We will work together to help you feel confident in yourself and your abilities. From interview prep and exam/OSCE revision to clinical reflections, case reviews and more!
I currently work as a senior physiotherapist and female academy medical lead for a Premier League football club. I have previously worked in professional rugby union and rugby league both in the UK and abroad. I also have a wealth of experience with teaching both in the UK and internationally, with international postgraduate research at a Master's level and supervising Clinical Research
My special interests are
- Sports injuries
- Sports trauma and physio trauma education (ITMMiF, ATMMiF, PHICIS, IMMoFP)
- Teaching clinical skills
- General MSK teaching and Assessment
- Guidance and practice in preparing for UK university and physiotherapy interviews
- Paediatric musculoskeletal and developmental injuries
Sessions are typically 30 minutes to 1 hour long but there is scope for this to be longer if requested.
Sessions can be fully tailored to the individual need and are suitable to all UK physiotherapy, sports therapy and sports rehabilitation BSc and MSc students, as well as new clinicians.

Ben was a massive help to me during my MSK and sports modules. He has a great way of explaining things clearly and made even the tricky topics feel manageable. What stood out most was how supportive and encouraging he was. Nothing ever felt like a stupid question, and he really took the time to make sure I understood things properly. I honestly don’t think I’d have felt as confident going into my exams without his help.
Ben has been a great help both with clinical questions and my master’s application! He is incredibly friendly and instantly put me at ease when I was nervous. Really patient and knowledgeable I would recommend him to anyone.
