About Taebin
I'm a fourth-year student at the University of British Columbia, majoring in mathematics with a strong background in computer science. Alongside my degree, I graduated from Vancouver Film School, which gave me a unique perspective on how to communicate and explain complex ideas clearly and creatively.
I strongly believe that any difficult subject becomes genuinely enjoyable once you truly understand it and that the right tutor makes all the difference. My goal is not just to help you get through the material, but to make the learning experience something you actually look forward to.
I'm fluent in Korean and English, and I enjoy working with students from all kinds of backgrounds. I'm a fourth-year UBC student studying mathematics and computer science, with additional background in film and technology. I offer tutoring in math, CS, and Korean for students from middle school all the way up to university level, either online or in person.
My approach is fundamentals first — rather than just drilling formulas or syntax, I focus on building genuine understanding so that ideas actually stick long-term. I'm very patient and adapt to each student's learning style, whether that means slowing down or pushing toward more advanced material.
A typical session starts by understanding what you want to learn or identifying where you're stuck, then working through the underlying concept together before applying it to practice problems or assignments. For Korean, lessons are conversational and structured around what's most useful for your goals — whether that's reading, speaking, grammar, or just alphabets.
