About Antoinette
My dancing journey started at the tender age of 3 in a little dance studio in Hong Kong. My mum taught ballet out there and she was my first ever teacher, hence me following in her footsteps all these years later! From the age of 11 I trained for 9 years at The Royal Ballet School in London before moving to Leeds where I joined the Northern Ballet Company in 2008. I was lucky enough to perform in theatres all over the UK as well as overseas. I was with Northern for 14 years becoming Principal Dancer and having the privilege of taking on numerous lead roles. I am excited to pass on all the knowledge, advice and guidance that my teachers, mentors and coaches have given me over the years. It only feels right to give back what was so invaluable to me and got me to where I am today. I hope my students learn with passion, joy and love for what they do. Technique comes with time but what I encourage is enjoying the process and the journey!

Lessons are tailor-made and created around you, what you are looking to achieve, learn and improve. I love teaching 1 to 1 classes as you can go so much deeper into the work and progress a lot quicker! I am very much a tutor who will always put the emphasis on enjoyment and passion first. Especially with dance as it comes from your heart! Lessons can be anywhere from 50 minutes to 2 hours depending on your schedule. I teach from ages 11 upwards and all levels. Complete beginners to professional students working towards a career in the arts.
