About Carrie
I never thought I would become an English teacher... Especially since I hardly ever did the reading when I was in high school. But, life has a sense of humor! I was a Spanish major in college who minored in English. I graduated Summa Cum Laude from the University of California, Irvine where I ran cross country and track. I became a teacher because I wanted to coach, and coaching remains my passion. However, I have a knack for teaching writing and helping students create a structure to their essays that supports maximum expression (and leads to good grades too!). So, here I am!
