About Shrija

Having recently completed GCSE, A-Level and first-year university exams, I can fully relate and understand the struggles students face during exam season. My first-hand experience allows me to offer not only academic support but also revision strategies and exam techniques that have worked for me and my students. For anyone looking to strengthen their foundations in maths and aim for top grades, I provide focused, supportive tutoring that not only builds understanding but also boosts motivation and confidence in learning the subject.

My goal is to help students build strong foundations, boost their confidence and develop effective problem-solving skills in maths. I start by identifying gaps in knowledge and break down topics into simple, logical steps using worked examples and encouraging questions. Once students understand the theory, we move onto targeted practice questions with gradually increasing difficulty. Finally, we will focus on exam-style problems and past papers to build further confidence. A typical lesson lasts 60 minutes, which allows enough time to go through examples and attempt questions. For younger students or those with shorter attention spans, I would adapt the structure to include breaks or alternate between activities to keep the session engaging. I have over a year of tutoring experience, primarily in GCSE maths and have worked with students across major exam boards such as Edexcel, AQA and OCR. My lessons are best suited for GCSE maths students between the ages of 13-16, whether they need help catching up, working towards a specific grade or striving for top marks. I also work with KS3 students from ages 11 to 14 so that they can prepare for the transition to GCSE.
