About Georgie
I’m a First Class MPhys Physics graduate from the University of Leeds with a strong academic background in Maths and Physics and previous experience tutoring students at both GCSE and A-level.
I enjoy tutoring because I know that Maths and Physics can feel difficult when a topic hasn’t been explained in a way that makes sense to you. I really enjoy helping students reach the point where something finally clicks and seeing their confidence grow as a result.
Having recently completed my degree, I understand the pressures of studying and exams and aim to create a relaxed, encouraging environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and making mistakes. I’m passionate about making Maths and Physics feel approachable rather than intimidating and helping each student achieve the best results they can.

My lessons are tailored to each student, focusing on the areas they find most challenging and building their confidence alongside their understanding. I explain concepts clearly and break difficult problems down into manageable steps, before working through questions together and encouraging students to apply what they have learnt independently.
I can focus on specific topics, general curriculum support or exam preparation depending on the student’s goals. I also use past-paper and exam-style questions to develop problem-solving skills, exam technique and confidence approaching unfamiliar questions.
Lessons are friendly and supportive, and I encourage students to ask questions whenever something doesn’t make sense. My aim is not just to help students reach the correct answer, but to make sure they understand the reasoning behind it so they can apply the same skills confidently in future.
