Fashion Designer/Fiber artist teaches design, sewing, crochet and upcycling from kid to adults

I have been working with Lois for over a year now and she is a wonderful sewing teacher. She has a lot of experience in Sewing and teaching people of many different ages and skill levels to learn how to sew. I 100% recommend her!!!

Lois has been such a delight to learn from. She is extremely knowledgeable and talented and she was able to teach me a little of what she knows. Her excitement for crotchet was clear in our lessons, and it was extremely infectious. I took one of her classes because I was interested and I came away with a real love for the craft.

Lois is truly one of the most patient, encouraging, and talented teachers I’ve ever worked with. Whether she’s teaching crochet or sewing, she has an incredible ability to make complete beginners feel comfortable and excited to learn. She explains things in such a clear, approachable way and never makes anyone feel intimidated, no matter their skill level or age.

She’s especially amazing with kids ~ calm, kind, creative, and endlessly patient ~ but she’s equally wonderful with adults. Her classes are always fun, welcoming, and inspiring, and she has a gift for helping people feel proud of what they create. Even students who have never picked up a crochet hook or touched a sewing machine leave feeling confident and accomplished.

What really sets Lois apart is how thoughtful and hands-on she is as a teacher. She pays attention to each student individually, adapts to different learning styles, and genuinely cares that everyone has a good experience. You can tell she truly loves what she does, and it makes learning from her such a joy.

Lois is a kind, patient teacher who takes the time to break down and explain each step of the process and adapt to each individual student’s pace. She makes herself available to troubleshoot and answer questions between sessions. Her background as a fashion designer allows her to be creative and flexible in problem solving (she loves to show how “mistakes” in a project can become “happy accidents”). After only a few months of working with her, I went from not knowing how to crochet to making clothing for myself and others. Highly recommend!
