• Tell us more about your subject. How did you develop an interest in this field?

  I coach students for various entrance exams especially for the entrance exams like GMAT, GRE, SAT, CAT, MAH-CET etc. I love taking up challenges, ideating solutions and implementing them. These exams are all competitive entrance exams and questions in them induce me to brainstorm, which I really enjoy.

• What or who is the motivation behind you choosing to teach & why?

  When I look back, glad to see that a major part of my life has been spent in educating myself. All through this, I have been a student and have personally experienced the problems existing with the teaching methodology of the tutors. Having the expertise as well as desire to serve the aspiring students today, I would like to bring the best to them and make all of that available, which is needed, for inspiring their careers.

• How does your work help society?

  I fill in the gaps that are currently existing in the coaching field, by empowering students with everything that is required for their best preparation.

• If you had to think of a role model for your work, who do you think of & why?

  My role model is none other than my mom. I have seen her day in and day out. Her commitment, passion and attitude of achieving excellence in whatever she does has inspired me always and will keep inspiring me all my life.

• Tell us about your hobbies outside teaching.

  I like reading self-development books, solving puzzles, writing blogs, surfing the internet, watching movies, etc.

• Do you have an anecdote to tell us about your student or professional life?

  I have been told by many students that I am a great mix of professionalism and personalization. One such anecdote, I would like to share with you all, where I was highly appreciated not only by the student but by his parents as well for the above mentioned quality.
  
  We were done with the entire syllabus quite beforehand, had given the mock tests, done reviews, worked together towards his score improvement, till the time we were sure that the student can now go for the exam. Everything was fine, but just the day before the exam, I received a call from the student, scared and afraid. He was anxious and wanted to go through the entire syllabus briefly with me just a day before the exam.
  
  I did take out time from my pre-planned schedule, to take a session with him to bring back all the confidence by doing certain necessary revisions and motivating him to show up for the exam next day. After giving the exam and getting the desired score, he and his parents thanked me a lot for all that I did for him. They were quite surprised and were of the opinion that it was quite unlikely to find a tutor like me who would be highly concerned about each and every student and willing to give so much effort.
