About Celia
I am an experienced flute tutor with 13 years of teaching high school, college students, and adults, and I have taught around 300 students. My teaching philosophy emphasizes patience, clear guidance, and interactive learning. I focus on fundamentals like tone, technique, rhythm, and music theory, while encouraging students to explore their musical creativity.

My teaching approach for flute is clear, adaptable, and focused on real-life application. I begin by understanding each student’s musical background, learning style, and personal goals.
I explain flute techniques such as breathing, embouchure, finger movement, tone control, articulation, and rhythm in a simple and organized way. I maintain open communication so lessons remain interactive and effective.
I use real-life examples and musical case studies from performances and recordings to help students connect lessons with real musical experiences.
In addition to flute playing, I teach related subjects including music theory, rhythm training, ear training, scale development, sight reading, and basic improvisation. I also guide students on practice routines and performance confidence. My goal is to help students become confident, expressive, and well-rounded flute musicians.
