About Tracy
I have taught in the same school for 23 years. Before I was a full-time teacher, I was a substitute at the school. I enjoy inspiring and working with children. I have coached baseball, basketball, and football. I have also been on the board of my local little league football team and have been a Scout leader.

I am very detail oriented when it comes to teaching reading and writing skills. I start with the basics; phonemic awareness, phonics, fluency, vocabulary and comprehension. I believe that reading and writing go hand and hand! A typical lesson with me would include a welcome, warm-up, vocabulary, spelling introduction of new skill, and implementation of the school. I am a certified K-6 teacher, so my lessons are designed for beginning students to students that will be taking end-of -grade tests.

I worked with Tracy for over 20 years, and for five years of that time, I had the honor to be her Teaching Assistant. She is highly dedicated to her students and her desire is to help them succeed. Her dedication in planning lessons around their individual learning styles was amazing to see. I saw students come into our classroom unable to read, but every year I saw these same students leaving us at or above their current grade level.
