About Josh
I am a highly experienced Year 6 teacher who has taught across all of Key Stage 2. With over ten years in the classroom, I know the KS2 curriculum inside out and understand exactly what children need to make progress, build confidence, and enjoy learning. As an English Lead, PE Coordinator and School Digital Leader, I bring a broad skill set, a creative approach, and a strong understanding of how to engage and support learners of all abilities. I pride myself on being patient, approachable, and committed to helping every child succeed. My lessons are tailored to each individual student, with clear explanations, supportive guidance, and activities that match their interests. I firmly believe that children learn best when they feel confident, understood, and motivated — and I work hard to create that environment in every session. Outside of teaching, I’m passionate about sport (especially rugby), camping, and reading — and I often use children’s hobbies and interests to make learning more relatable and enjoyable. Typical Length of a Lesson: I usually offer lessons lasting one hour, but I can be flexible depending on the child’s needs and attention span.
