About Emma
Hello, my name is Emma and I am an experienced UKS2 teacher with nine years of classroom experience teaching English and maths. I enjoy helping children understand things that once felt difficult and seeing their confidence grow as learning starts to make sense. I believe everyone can succeed with the right support, patience and encouragement. In my lessons, mistakes are part of learning and I take time to explain ideas clearly and break them down step by step. I adapt my teaching to suit each learner so that sessions feel calm, supportive and manageable. I especially enjoy working with pupils who feel unsure or anxious about their learning and helping them realise they are more capable than they think. I chose to tutor because I miss working closely with children and value the opportunity to focus on individual needs, goals and progress.
