About Ron
I majored in Computer Science specializing in database design. I also use SQL and PL/SQL extensively in my day to day at my job in IT with over 30 years experience solving practical business problems. I also have 3+ years tutoring over 300 students. I recalled struggling in the first six months of my first project in my career. A colleague offered to take time on his day off on a weekend to tutor me, and that completely changed my life. Since then, I excelled in SQL and database design. I would like to take this opportunity to help others as this kind colleague did for me :)

I first ask to review their assignment to see if I'm a good fit. If so, I will book a session and ask them to clarify any questions I have regarding the assignment. I will then ask them their preference on learning style - If they prefer hands on vs. they learn by example. If hands on, then I let them "drive" and I will provide input; otherwise, I do the "driving" pausing along the way to see if they have questions.
